It’s my mom’s birthday today. My brother and I chirped in to get her new earpods because she always uses her wired earphones to video call with us and her wireless ones are not authentic. I find it ironic and sad that she and dad always want the best things for us, but they are harsh on themselves and only get cheap items. I’m sure it’s not because my family is short on money – I know for a fact that we are living very comfortably. I think that’s just what moms and dads do. They love their kids more than themselves, but they never say it out loud and compensate with actions.
I found some old pictures of my mom and us as I went through my gallery. On her birthday, I wish her good health, comfort to travel, and a bright mind. I love you, mom!
