After weeks and weeks of conflicts and rescheduling, my orientation friend NW and I finally made it to happy hours together today! We went in at 4 and ordered a Clockwork cocktail drink with two fish tacos. We gave each other the best updates and stories. I learned that NW got a Fulbright Scholarship to Spain to teach English as a second language (ESL) and will be teaching Political Science + History near her home this summer. She initially aspired to be a lawyer, but life seems to lead her towards teaching, and I told her that I could definitely see her standing on the podium delivering the most passionate lecture ever. I am very proud of her and happy for her. I know she will be going through a hard time with her boyfriend since long distance is not the best way to do a relationship, but I hope things will work out between them. Hearing her story made me think of KF and me a lot. I gave her encouragement, but in a way, I was also cheering myself up because KF and I will also have to buckle up for a bumpy ride ahead when I work in Hoboken and he lives in Hatfield.

After happy hours, we headed to Rowen Campus Green to attend the last lecture and join the toast. The best part? I snapped a picture with Father Peter and ate good cheese!
