I notice that people around me in the US are allergic to all kinds of things. OM is allergic to dairy. BK is allergic to mango. LL is allergic to dogs, including her dog L. KF is allergic to pollen. KB is the worst, she’s almost allergic to everything on top of many unfortunate disorders!
I, on the other hand, am not allergic to anything yet. I say “yet” because I know a lot of these allergies are developed over time, similar to lactose intolerance. Maybe because I grew up in Vietnam, where most people aren’t allergic to anything and can eat anything. We don’t list out ingredients in food and we don’t ask people if they have any allergies before the meals start. However, when I’m in the US, my body has to get used to the new environment and the new food culture. It could very likely malfunction a little bit, but I hope that never happens to me hehe.
