Chapter 1. Angel of Lip Care
I’m talking about Laneige’s Lip Sleeping Mask. Doesn’t matter which flavor, they are all very effective. I have tried berry, vanilla; now gummy bear which is like grape. I have been using it for the last 2 years, every night before I go to bed. And I know it works well because I almost never use lipsticks, I just go out with my natural lips plus lip balm. I never feel pale or “like a zombie” – always very confident.
I read some Reddit subs and they said that it’s not at all effective and that this is just a scam. Well… maybe they just haven’t used it for long enough; because if I really think about it, it is a thick moisturizing cream for lips; probably is equal to 5 layers of lip balms. And like every other moisturizing product, this one takes some time to work and the result can’t easily and visibly seen within a short period.

Chapter 2. Demon of Medicine
I had a very bad cough last night while sleeping. I think it’s a combination of my previous sick days and the run yesterday. And I already finished taking one full antibiotic schedule, so I don’t think it’s good to get on another one again. With that being said, I decided to go with the Japanese medicine Pabron. I absolutely despise it because of its bitter flavor but it’s proven to be very effective.
Pabron reminds me of the medicine from a famous doctor near my house when I was a baby. I remember having a very high fever and my mum would take me to the doctor’s clinic, either late at night or early in the morning, to get me checked up and get the mysterious but effective medicine. It was horribly bitter… So bitter that my mum had to add a spoon of sugar and honey while tricking me to drink all of it.
In Vietnamese, we have a saying “thuốc đắng giã tật”, meaning bitter medicine kills diseases (very rough translation). So, fingers crossed that I stop coughing after taking a few days worth of this medicine.
